New Residential schools under :Telangana welfare Scheme


A Group of Ministers of Telangana Government on Saturday took some major decisions for the welfare of SC, ST, BC and Minorities in the State.

Deputy Chief Ministers Kadiyam Srihari (Education) and Mohammed Mahmood Ali (Revenue), BC Welfare Minister Jogu Ramanna and ST Welfare Minister Azmeera Chandulal held a meeting with the officials of SC, ST, BC and Minorities Welfare department at the State Secretariat here on Saturday. During the meeting, which lasted for about four hours, a decision has been taken to construct 20 Residential School and 20 Residential Hostels in the Telangana State ie., 2 Residential Schools and 2 Residential Hostels in each district.

Kadiyam Srihari spoke with the Bank Officials while asking them to extend educational loans to the Students. Instructions have been issued to enhance the Income limit to Rs 2 lakh per annum. Further, instructions have also been issued to the authorities concerned for increasing the cosmetics charges if students in hostels.

The Ministers also decided to increase the additional uniform stitching charges @ Rs. 40/- per student in hostel.
