New rules for School buses in :Telangana




Transport Deputy Commissioner Mamata Prasad asked the school managements to get their school buses checked if the buses were fit for transporting students.

Addressing a meeting on road safety which was with school representatives and head masters on Saturday, Ms. Mamata said that each bus should carry the list of students, phone numbers of parents and the route it was travelling.

She said that the managements should keep a strict vigil on use of liquor, gutka and cell phone by drivers. They were also asked to check the fitness of vehicle frequently. Superintendent of Police B. Sumathi said that school should also keep the list of autorickshaws and the drivers that were taking students. District Education Officer A. Rajeswara Rao was present.
