The Telangana Recognised School Managements Association (TRSMA) State general secretary K. Anantha Reddy has urged the government to provide at least one year relaxation for the private schools to introduce the government text books for class I to V.
Talking to newsmen here on Monday, he said the State government issued orders recently instructing all private schools to follow the government text books for classes I to V on par with existing rule of classes from VI to X.
He said the private school managements have procured the text books and distributed among the students. The forcible introduction of government text books from this academic year would create confusion and also a burden on the parents, he stated.
Appointment of drivers
Stating that the private schools were facing several problems in appointing drivers following the rule of minimum five year heavy driving licence rule, he said that the government should allow the private schools to appoint drivers for school buses with minimum of two years heavy driving licence experience on par with the RTC.
He also urged the government to allow the private schools to go on excursions by using their own school buses.
Expressing concern over registration of cases on private school buses on the pretext of overloading, he said that the government should allow them to carry 25 per cent more students than the seating capacity in the school buses as all were children. He also urged the government to provide training to the private school teachers on CCE model of education.
He said that the TRSMA district general body meeting would be held on June 10 in Karimnagar which would be addressed by State president K. Papi Reddy.
