Mana Telangana state has been chosen as the "Best State in Promoting empowerment of persons with disabilities" under National Award for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities 2018 by the Ministry of social justice and Empowerment. This award is given in recognition to the services extended by the state government in overall development of persons with disabilities.
The award would be conferred in an official function by ministry on December 3 at New Delhi which would be at tended by the President Ram Nath Kovind.
This is the first National Award for Telangana State under (Best State category) Column No.13 of award copy. Chief Secretary to Government SK Joshi was informed today by the officials of the Department of Women and Child Welfare, Government of India.
